Brian Johnston
Student Life Pastor / Leadership Team
Brian comes to us qualified to serve both as Lead Youth Pastor and Family Life Pastor. He has 17 years of experience in youth and children’s ministry. For the last eleven years he has been a Student Minister responsible for Jr. High, Sr. High, and College ministries in the Raleigh, North Carolina vicinity. He has prior experience as a children, junior high, senior high, and college age youth pastor. He is also a talented graphic designer and musician.
He and his wife, Jenifer, have four children. Brian actually lived in Colonial Heights, outside of Kingsport, for a few years while he was growing up but resided in North Carolina for many years.
Jonathan Meo
Middle School Pastor
Jonathan Meo is a graduate of King College, having moved to Tennessee from New York in 2006 to be a part of Billy Wayne Ministries. He took the call “to sell all you have, give to the poor, and come follow Me [Jesus]” seriously. In faith he left his family, his friends, and the pursuit of education in engineering to fulfill God’s call on his life in ministry with one verse from Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, neither be dismayed for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” After eight months of touring with Billy, Jonathan sensed the call to continue his education and begin an internship at Celebration Church in the Children’s Ministry. Since then he has worked in various churches part-time leading worship and working with youth until July 20, 2009, when he was brought on full time at Celebration Church to be a Youth Pastor.
Jonathan and his sweetheart, Taylor, were married August 7, 2010 and reside in Kingsport.
