Leah Winegar
Dance Ministry Director
Welcome to Celebration Church Dance Ministry! My name is Leah Winegar and I am so excited to embark on a new journey within the dance ministry this year! For those of you who do not know, this is my first year as coordinator! My mind is still reeling with a flood of emotions and pure delight as I try to wrap my brain around God's goodness and His gentle leading. What a privilege it is to join an amazing team that has already been established within an amazing ministry where we all share the same goals - to worship Jesus with all of our "heart, soul and mind"! I am looking forward to seeing the wonderful talent and gifts He has given each of you as we worship Him together through dance!
I have been married to a truly remarkable man, Bo, for 8 years now and we have been blessed with four kids (Ally, Justus, Lincoln and Zane). I cherish our family time together and often find myself overwhelmed by God's love for me and my family. Our story is evidence of His abundant grace and that His ways are always good.
I began traditional dance lessons at the age of twelve and spent much of my teenage years in class or dancing on the mission field. When I turned nineteen, I felt strongly that God was leading me to attend a college emphasizing missions. Dance played an important role in raising the exact amount of money needed in order to participate and it has continued to be a vital part of my life throughout my adult years. Dance stretches me physically, emotionally, spiritually, and creatively and although it is not always easy, God has promised all of us that His plans are to "prosper us, not to harm us." Whatever your role is in the ministry this year, whether it be student, parent, volunteer, or dance instructor; I hope you find comfort in knowing that His plans are for YOU, even in the midst of being stretched!
"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." Romans 8:28
